Remakes

Remakes are indie games which are remakes of other games, often ancient mainstream games. The goal is usually to improve on the original game by updating its graphics, sound, music, and sometimes gameplay to modern standards. Their inverse is the demake, which is a remaking of a modern game in an ancient style.
